WeatherNet Christmas e-card
Despite marking the start of autumn, September contains the hottest day around 1 year in 10 and 27°C (81°F) is reached somewhere in most years. The 'Old Wives Summer' is three supposedly dry periods 7th-10th, 16th-21st and 30th. None is reliable, but mid-September can be remarkably dry and settled with gales unlikely before the autumnal equinox 22nd/23rd.
