WeatherNet maintains its own exclusive network of manned and automatic weather stations throughout the UK.

Many of our stations are located close to urban areas, where the weather affects most people, most of the time. Sites are selected to record weather that is representative of their local area.

Each station has a full complement of recording and logging equipment, for temperature, rainfall, sunshine and wind. Many stations also record other elements such as pressure, visibility, humidity, ground and soil temperatures. Our manned stations also give us unique descriptive accounts of the weather throughout the day and information about local weather events.

Stations report to us daily or weekly and all submitted data undergoes careful quality control before incorporation to our database.

Long period averages for each month are available for many stations and allow us to immediately establish if any episode of weather was particularly severe or unusual.

New Stations
If you currently run a weather station for business or for pleasure, and are able to meet our various standards for observation, exposure and instruments, then WeatherNet would love to hear from you. We offer a number of benefits to contributing stations. info@weathernet.co.uk
